How long does a treatment last?  

The length of a treatment session varies by situation and client.  The treatment itself will last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour; however, the practitioner allows a little extra time to discuss their impression of the animal with the animal’s human.  While connecting with an animal during a treatment, the practitioner develops a rapport and non-verbal communication enabling the practitioner to identify when it is time to stop.

Continued Reiki treatments will help the response to pass quickly.  For example:  if an animal is suffering from respiratory symptoms, these intensify during or directly after causing the animal to sound more congested.
